There are vast multitudes in this enlightened land of ours who are in open rebellion against God. “We will not have this man, Jesus Christ, to reign over us,” is the heartless cry that winds its flight from office, shop, store, factory, home, college, and the busy mart of trade. Lots of people are willing, my friends, to accept whatever they want from the Bible. They would like to codify it; they would like to sit down and eliminate that which isn’t pleasant to them to receive and which they don’t like to adjust their lives to, and insert something they would like. You take it as it is given, and if you don’t, you will go to Hell. God almighty won’t adjust His principles to suit the opinions of anybody. The Lord has made His revelation known to the world, and it is up to you and not to the Lord. He has done all He ever will or can do to save this world. He has given sunshine and rain and ground; it is up to you to plant the seed, to plow it or starve to death. God has done His part; He will do no more.

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. — Isaiah 65:24

We serve a “prayer answering God”! He would never create a world for us that makes Him unnecessary. God wants us to ask Him, and He expects us to receive what He gives.

“Who is Jesus Christ and what is His mission to the world?” is certainly a logical question to ask. He changed the world in only 30 years on earth, and no one has had more of an impact on this planet than Jesus Christ. This is, after all, His planet.

Psalms 97:1-6 says, “The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.”

Some things that people say

‘I believe in Jesus.  That is enough.  I can live my life as I want to.’

•  It is important to believe in Jesus.  You must decide to do this for yourself.  But that is only the first step. 
• The Bible says that you must also join God’s people – the church.  When God’s people meet together, they listen to the leaders.  So they hear what the Bible says.  They want to learn more about Jesus.
• When we listen to the Bible, we learn many good things.  We learn that we cannot do only what we want to do.  Some things that we do are wrong.  If we want to follow Jesus, we must do what the Bible says.  To do that will involve some changes in your life and in my life.

“Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says, “Woe to those who call evil good”, but that is exactly what we have done.  We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot anti-abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it

freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it

enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin

and  set us free.  Amen!”

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matt 3:2) God is doing a unique work on the earth today. There are seasons in which the Holy Spirit speaks things to the Church. During one decade it might be a focus on evangelism. During another, it might be a greater awareness of the Holy Spirit. During yet another, it might be a focus on social problems in cities. Today, God is speaking very clearly to the Church about societal transformation. Fifteen years ago, the idea of a community being totally transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ was a foreign concept. However, according to George Otis, Jr, director of the Sentinel Group, there are over 500 communities that are in some form of quantifiable transformation process today.

“He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income” (Ecclesiastes 5:10).

A successful businessman once confided in another businessman known for his wisdom. “I’ve made a lot of money. I will soon be able to retire comfortably and do just about anything I want.”
“John,” the wise businessman replied to the man, “I’ve noticed that every time someone thinks they’ve built a tree that is so tall it almost reaches heaven, God often decides to shake the tree.”

[cincopa AsGANq6kJdeb]“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe” (Eph 1:18-19).

Paul’s letter to the Ephesians exhorts believers to experience three important things in their spiritual lives that he experienced personally. As a good mentor, he desires those he is leading to follow his example.
First, God wants you to have the eyes of your heart enlightened in order to know the hope to which He has called you. God has called each of us to a future and a hope. Some do not ever realize the dreams they envision for their lives. Paul prays they will experience this.
Second, God wants you to know there is an inheritance for each believer in Jesus Christ. There are riches to be had – not financial riches – but spiritual riches that are laid up for every saint. As you are faithful to His calling in your life, there will be a reward for your faithfulness.
Third, God desires you to tap into the power that is available to every believer. Paul often exhorted believers not to look at his persuasive words, but the demonstration of the power of God in his life. He wants you to know this same power is available to you. After all, Jesus said we would do even greater works than He did after He sent the Holy Spirit to us.

Everyone wants to be Successful in life, but many miss the Keys to Success found in God’s Word.

Joshua 1:8 mentions Three Keys that, if applied, lead to a Successful Life. What do you consider to be a Successful Life? Most people consider success as being financially independent, but fail to see the rest of the picture. To be financially secure is truly a good thing, but there is much more to consider. Are you happy with your life and who you are? Are you happy with your accomplishments and goals? How about your relationships with your spouse, children, family, and friends?

Many of the people who have reached the so called “Success Status” of financial independence got there by ways and means not of Gods will, and ultimately pay the price of unhappiness, broken hearts, misery, and failure in many other aspects of their life. Most people place money at the top of their list, their most wanted desire. It has become one of the devils most powerful tools in distorting the truth, and bringing evil into our hearts. The truth is – God needs to be at the top of your list.

You need to break that lust and desire for money that has been pounded into your head by our society. Granted, we all need money to survive. We work hard for our money, and we want to make as much as we can, so we can enjoy the finer things in life. But, if you live only to please yourself and others around you, with monetary gain, physical pleasures, and luxury, you will never be happy. You will never have enough. You will always want, and need more. True success is much more that just your financial situation. When you apply Gods word to your life, you can, and will be successful. True financial success must be achieved through Gods will. Then and only then will you find the complete joy, freedom, harmony, and happiness God has intended, and promised for us all…

God, please show me how you want me to use the skills, spiritual gifts, resources you have given me and the relationships you have allowed me to have to prepare for the great harvest You have planned. I pray that I will be a tool in your hands to draw people to you. With that in mind, I ask you to please forgive me of my sins, sins that stand in the way of a closer fellowship with you and that would be a hindrance to my living testimony. Please help me start fresh and new again right now. Thank you and bless you, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Dear God, It is a new year on this earth. I want to begin the year with praise and thankfulness to you. I want to recommit myself to you; to do your good will; to follow your word and the guidance of your Holy Spirit. I want to draw closer to you in word, thought, and deed. I want to have an attitude of gratitude, a smile on my face and in my voice, and energy to do whatever task or ministry you want me to do. Please continue to provide my every need, as only you can do. Please bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Please give me wisdom, knowledge, desire, and power to go forth and live for you to make a difference in the lives of those around me and to glorify you. Please bless my coming and my going and open my mouth to speak words of truth and love. Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Dear God, Society is so curious about “close encounters of a third kind” and aliens from outer space and all the unexplainable occurrences that happen from time to time. While all that may be interesting, I desire encounters of a heavenly kind. Lord, just give me more of You. Fill me with Your presence and your peace. Refresh my spirit as I bask in Your presence. Replenish my soul with Your Word. Lift me up and keep me going forward for You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Lord, I commit my works unto you, and ask you to establish my thoughts and direct my steps. Let my heart beat with your desires. Deliver me from all wrongdoing and fleshly desires. Keep me under your faithful, loving, and warm wings of love.
